LAURENCE NOLLEAU

Born in France in 1963, Laurence NOLLEAU was passionate about drawing from a very young age. His childhood was marked by numerous trips that enriched his artistic universe.

At the age of 6, Laurence met the Spanish painter and former curator of the Barcelona Museum, Joan Bachs, and this encounter would be decisive in his path. 2 She obtained a double degree in fashion design at Esmod Paris, received the Jean-Louis Dumas-Hermès fashion design award and then completed her first apprenticeship at Dior. She later became European collections director for an Australian brand until 2001. In 2002, Laurence decided to dedicate herself to her vocation and locked herself in her studio to experiment and explore different techniques.

Strongly influenced by the glamour of the fashion world, Laurence Nolleau diverts iconic images from it, which inspire her to create portraits with neo-expressionist variations, close to glam rock.
