OLIVIER COISNE

After twenty years of a successful career combining art and the creation of unique pieces, Olivier Coisne decides to leave the city of Lille and move to the Opal Coast. There, he decides to focus his work around the material, exploring new forms of expression through his connection with nature.

It is in this context that the idea of working with bronze emerges. For Coisne, this noble and durable material represents a return to his roots, as the process of working with it involves the use of fire, thus evoking his previous technical skills and experiences.

Coisne’s art is not simply an aesthetic expression but arises from a deep need for spiritual inspiration. Each work becomes a means through which Coisne can share his life stories and reflections on the world around him.

His works, being unique pieces, reflect the refinement and elegance of nature itself. Each creation is the result of a carefully crafted process in which the material and the artist merge to give life to an artistic expression that transcends the physical and delves into the spiritual.

The series of bronze or ultramarine blue jellyfish presented by Olivier Coisne is a fascinating expression of the movement and beauty of these exceptional marine creatures. The artist captures the essence of jellyfish in their natural environment, representing their elegance and grace in each piece.

Coisne’s installation knows no bounds, as the artist immerses himself in the depths of his imagination to create a world where jellyfish can move freely and express themselves in all their magnificence. This creative freedom reflects the artist’s vision, who sees in nature an endless source of inspiration and possibilities.

Like his “Macroscopic” series and his previous ecological focus, this installation is an invitation to reflect on the environment. Jellyfish, as symbols of the fragility and beauty of the ocean, remind us of the importance of preserving and protecting our marine ecosystems. Through his art, Coisne urges us to contemplate the interconnectedness of all forms of life and to consider our role in conserving the planet.

This series of jellyfish is more than an art exhibition; it is a reminder of our collective responsibility to care for and respect the natural world around us.
